Unofficial Winter Indoor Tennis Organizing

Hi everyone, with cold weather and many public courts taking down their nets, there will likely not be any more official tennis meetups for the winter.

This event page is for dedicated Madison-area group members to gather and organize separate indoor hitting groups during the winter. The main option will be at the University's Nielsen Tennis Stadium, 1000 Highland Avenue, 608-262-8244.

Interested players should share their contact number, general weekly availability time, and approximate playing level in the comments. (Players should also make a note if they are a current UW-Madison student or Rec Well Affiliate Member.)

Groups of similar level players with overlapping availabilities should organized among themselves for Nielsen court reservations.

Nielsen Tennis Stadium has 12 indoor tennis courts. Courts can be reserved in 75-min sessions, costing $20 total for members or $40 total for non-members (pro-rated for singles/doubles and for each player's individual membership status).

Court reservations can be made 1-day in advance for non-members, current UW-Madison students or Rec Well Affiliate Members can make reservations up to 3-days in advance.
