We are going to start making weekly meetups for our group.
Details
Our weekly meetings will have new topic each week.
This week we will discuss:
How to make PCB's at home.
I know you can have companies like PCB way do this for you but sometimes you want to make sure your PCB works before you have it made. Nothing like ordering a board and get it only to find out your design was bad. The loss of time and money is no fun at all.
We will go from concept to design to actually making the board.
We will be discussing a few software programs that will aide this process. EASYEDA which will allow the full design of a PCB board to make it ready for milling or ordering it as well should you want to go that route.
We will be covering a method called trace isolation. We will be using a new machine that has been purpose built for this process.
We will be discussing a program called FlatCam which takes your PCB design and builds tool paths so it can be milled on a CNC machine.
We will also go over the process of making single sided or dual sided boards with an iron clad method that works flawlessly every time.
If you are interested feel free to stop by.
Please be sure to RSVP so I know you are coming.
Even if you are not interested in this weeks topic you can still stop by and get a feel for some of the things we will be covering in the weeks ahead and make a few new friends along the way.
