๐ Fall Foliage "Hike" & Walk: Washington Park Arboretum
Details
๐ About the Event
Letโs take advantage of the crisp autumn weather and get some sun! We are heading to the Washington Park Arboretum for a casual weekend "hike" and walk to see Seattle's best fall foliage. Mid-October is peak season for the Japanese Maples to turn electric red and gold.
The trails here are unpaved in spots and cover a massive 230-acre park, so it feels like a genuine nature hike right in the middle of the city.
No Group Limits: There are no wilderness limits here, so feel free to bring friends!
๐บ๏ธ Game Plan & Timeline
11:00 AM: Meet outside the front doors of the Graham Visitors Center. We will do a quick round of intros while everyone arrives.
11:15 AM: We hit the trails! We will walk a large loop through the Woodland Garden to see the maples, taking plenty of stops for photos.
1:30 PM: Wrap up back at the Visitors Center. We can decide as a group if anyone wants to grab lunch or coffee nearby in Madison Valley or the U-District.
๐ What to Bring
Comfortable walking/hiking shoes (the dirt trails can get muddy if it rained the day before)
Layers (it starts chilly but warms up as we walk)
