Fireworks for New Years Eve in the city or somewhere (CANCELLED)

*******IMPORTANT NOTICE - EVENT CANCELLED*****
Given the seemingly increase in number of COVID cases recently, John and I have agreed that organising an event like the fireworks with hundreds of people in the area presents a high risk to our health and wellbeing. Therefore we have decided to cancel this event.

We intend to organise another event on either 26 or 27 January 2024 in addition to two other events in January. Look forward to seeing you there.

New Year's is often a great opportunity to photograph fireworks at its best. This year there are a few spots in the city and Docklands to photograph and watch the fireworks display as we celebrate the incoming of the new year.

For those who have not done any photography on fireworks, I would suggest the following preparation (for those like me, I often have to refresh my camera settings and what I need to do to photograph fireworks as we get to do this a couple of times a year if lucky):

1. Read up or watch YouTube on how camera settings to photograph fireworks.
2. Work out suitable lens.
3. Tripod

For those who just want to watch the fireworks and capture them on your phone - that is totally too!

******Final Schedule*******
5.00pm - Dinner at Grill'd on Flinders Lane (if you wish to join us).
6.30pm - Meet outside Grill'd on Flinders Lane for briefing and leave for
Kings Domain. As we head towards Kings Domain, you may
capture sunset shots along the way on St Kilda Road.
8.00pm Leave St Kilda Road for Kings Domain to get there early to set
up your camera and tripod. There's also food trucks (I believe)
for you to get more food or snacks.
9.30pm Fireworks at Kings Domain
10.00pm Event Ends

If you wish to join us for dinner at Grill'd at 5.00pm, please let me know by 21 December as it is going to be busy and cannot get any booking. Please be sure that you are definitely coming for dinner. All you need to do is post a comment that you would like to join us for dinner.
