Flow Festival at the Abbotsford Convent

Details
Flow Festival at the Abbotsford Convent is a place for the Deaf and hard of hearing artists (visual art , paintings, photography, performing art….etc) to showcase their work. What a great way to support this festival and lots to photograph. In addition to this festival there is a lot to photograph at the convent with its beautiful buildings and gardens. There is also a farm nearby to explore.
More details to come - so if you are interested, come along!
There will be a brief Deaf awareness training when we first gather.

Flow festival has announced their program. I will probably do the guided tour with Irene (it will be in Auslan, not sure if interpreted as well).

Up date: update.
10:00-10:20. Meet by the bakery. Slight introduction to deaf culture, how to use any interpreters that may be about, how to ask if you can take a picture or someone or their work.
10:20-11:00. Walk around do your own thing
11:00. Welcome to country - a intro to the space, speeches, etc
12:00(noon)-17:00 The gallery is open (I’ve paid to do a tour at noon, but it’s not necessary, it’s how I give back to the community).
Lunch will be when ever you want. I am happy if anyone wants to gather again near the bakery at 14:00(2pm), to wrap up the day.
