Eagles Nest is a nice spot to explore and photograph, especially at low tide, and Grantville is a lovely spot for sunset with its jetty and other focal points. We have now added a visit to the State Coal Mine at the start of the event to photograph and for those interested can also do a tour.
SCHEDULE
11.00am - Welcome and briefing at the entrance of the State Coal
Mine (Garden St, Wonthaggi)
11:00 - 1:30 Explore the State Coal Mine
Take a journey back in time to the State Coal Mine in Wonthaggi. This unique attraction is the only historic coal mine experience in the southern hemisphere.
Operating from 1909 until 1968, the State Coal Mine produced almost 17 million tonnes of coal for Victoria’s industries and railways.
Entry is free to all aboveground attractions.
There is a guided tour start at 11:30 if you are interested for $24.70 will take 1.5 hr to complete, need to book online in advance.

3:15 - 4:00 Eagles Nest
Eagles Nest is a sandstone sea stack that sits on a wide rock platform and is awash at high tide.
On the eastern side of the Nest is a 250 m long platform beach lying at the base of 40 m high
