Balcombe Reserve and Ker-Bur-Rer and Mt Marth beach Sunset

As the weather warms up in Spring with hopefully lovely sunny days, let's put on our walking shoes to enjoy a hike and photograph. We will end this event with sunset shots at Mt Martha beach. Of course this is all weather dependent and we ask that you check this page up to the day before in the event we need to cancel due to bad weather conditions. While the return hike on the boardwalk is 10km, it is an easy walk and you can always turn back if you wish to.

The boardwalk along the estuary is well maintained and just spectacular with lots of birdlife to see, then a trail to The Briars. Once in the enclosed bush if you keep your eyes open you may see a kangaroo or a emu

2.00pm - Meeting point: Balcombe Estuary Reserve car park for a welcome and brief.

2:15pm - Begin our walk through the Balcombe Reserve and Ker-Bur-Rer Walk - easy 10.5km return. You can always turn back if you wish.
This is a straightforward and beautiful walk through the Balcombe Creek Bushland Reserve on the Mornington Peninsular, Victoria. This is an excellent walk and a great option for photograph birdlife with good informative signage along the way.

Gear to consider bringing for this event

  • Comfortable shoes
  • Clothing suitable for the weather forecast for the day (include light jacket for sunset by the beach)
