About us

Mighty Women Paddling Club, Inc. is a non-profit, competitive, year-round Dragon Boat Club in Portland, Oregon. We are an adventurous group of women with a competitive spirit and a strong sense of community on and off the boat.

Newcomers are invited to paddle with us for free for their first three practices. We provide the paddle and life jacket (PFD) and of course, amazing women to share a boat with!

We practice Saturday mornings at 8:40 a.m and Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:40 p.m.

To try dragon boating, you don’t have to be in top shape. You don’t need your own life vest or paddle…we have them to borrow. It doesn't require special clothes or footwear. Think you don’t have time? Dragon boating is fun, exhilarating and a great workout and practices are only an hour. Think you’re too old? Our oldest paddler was 91! Best of all, you don’t have to “know” anything about paddling…we have one of the best coaches in Portland!!
