If you feel stuck in the middle between clowns on the left and jokers on the right, you’ve found the right MeetUp group to join. Inspired by Michael Smerconish’s “The Mingle Project,”this group will meet to discuss hot topics and news events with people from different backgrounds and points of view.
If you are an independent and critical thinker and want to join a conversation with people of diverse views, then you’ve found the right place.
If you are unfamiliar with Smerconish’s Mingle Project, I’d suggest viewing “The Mingle Movie,” a 2025 documentary that explores how social isolation and lack of in-person connection (“mingling”) have damaged American society and political discourse. It promotes the idea of “restoring common experiences” and encourages people to get out of their “bubbles” and interact with others with different viewpoints. There are Mingle Projects being established all over the US, with the closest to us, and the only other group in SC, in Myrtle Beach.
