Backpacking - Deadfall Lakes/Mt Eddy

A trip with great views of Mt Shasta. Enjoy a leisurely backpacking trip along the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) to Deadfall Lakes with a trek up to 9,037 ft Mt Eddy, the highest peak in the Trinity Mountains, on our layover day.
Trailhead Location: Parks Creek Trailhead (west of Weed)
Length: Easy three-four miles to campsite, at Middle Deadfall or Upper Deadfall Lake.
Elevation Gain: around 600-1,000 ft to campsite.
Difficulty: easy/moderate to Middle Deadfall Lake, strenuous to Mt Eddy.
We will plan on camping at Middle Deadfall Lake on the evenings of July 16 and 17th, return to trail head on July 18th.
Meet at Parks Creek trailhead at 12 pm. This trailhead is around 14 miles west of Weed, using Exit 751 from Int 5. Follow Stewart Springs Rd and Forest Rte 42N17 to trailhead. Parks Creek will come up in Google maps.
