Experience a beautiful hike among coastal forests, meadows, beaches and bluffs!

We will begin at the main parking lot of Wilder Ranch and proceed easterly up Wilder Loop Trail. We will then proceed back toward the coast via the Enchanted and Baldwin Trails; and end up at 4 Mile beach where we take a good break and snack/lunch. We will return to the parking area via the nearly 4 mile Bluff Trail.

Distance: around 11 miles

Elevation Change: around 1,400 feet

Hiking Time: around 4.5 hours, including lunch stop at beach

Intensity of Hike: Moderate

Meet in the main parking lot near the restrooms.

Fast hikers, if you must hike faster than me, please stop at all intersections/anything that looks like an intersection as I may change the intended route as we hike. If you get too far ahead and I do not see you, I will not look for you, sorry.

Directions: Wilder Ranch entrance is 1.6 miles north of the intersection of State Hwy 1 and Western Avenue in Santa Cruz. The entrance is on the west side of Hwy 1. Parking/fees? There is an $10.00 entry fee; or you can park along the west side of Hwy 1 just prior to the entrance and walk in.

Dogs not allowed on trails.
