Let's walk from Carmel-By-The Sea to Pt. Lobos and back. It is about 14 mile round trip. We start and finish at Devendorf Park in downtown Carmel. Check your free parking availability__(Sunset Center North parking, or Junipero above 5th?, Vista Lobos.)

**[The hike could be shortened to a total of 4, 6, or 10 depending on your availability]

Rough route:
Going --- We walk secret path down to Carmel City Beach (0.5 mi). From City Beach to Carmel State River Beach via Scenic (~1.5 mi).
Continue to Carmel Meadow Beach, then to Monastery Beach (~2 mi). Walk along HWY 1 (~0.6 mi) to get to Pt. Lobos.
We will make a small loop covering north end of the Pt. Lobs Preserve (~4 mi).

Return --- Pt. Lobos - Monastery Beach - Carmel Meadow - Carmel State Beach - Carmel Mission - Mission Trail - Devendorf Park. (Lots of good coffee places nearby!!!)

*** Although the elevation gain is only 1,100', we cover good distance (14 miles) with crisp pace. So this hike is wait-listed event.

++What to bring:
Min 2 L of water, Sun protection, layered clothing, wind breaker, snack, lunch, comfortable walking shoes, short gaiter may be useful for avoiding sand sneakiing into your shoes, camera is a must.

## Trash bag and a pair of glove (we can pick up any trash along the way for public service)

++ We will regroup at several points, where some folks who arrive sooner can do push-ups, etc. while wait.
++One can run, jog or sprint on beach section ... whatever heart's desire ...
