13 Mile+4,500' gain Garland Hike: E Garzas-Kahn Ranch-Redwood

Join The Monterey Bay Area Hiking Group for an exciting wilderness hiking adventure on the scenic Kahn Ranch Hike in Garland Regional Park. The Hike is 13 miles plus with 4,500' elevation gain, and is STRENUOUS. Thus it is WAIT-LISTED event.
Priority is given to those who previously hiked with me on 10 plus miles with good elevation gains. Otherwise please list your 12 miles plus hikes in the past 4 months.

We promptly start hiking at 7:04 from the East Garzas Trailhead. Show up by 7:00 am for introduction.

What to bring:

• Minimum 3L of water, electrolytes (hydrate frequently)
• Water filter for water-resupply
• Layered clothing, windbreaker, headlamp
• Snack, Lunch (munch along the way)
• Walking sticks, some sections are over 30% grade and slippery
• A pair of gloves, solid hiking shoes/boots

**Water could be replenished at Kahn
**It is a rain or shine hike, however with snow, lightening, heavy downpour, the hike will be cancelled.
