#20 MMT__The Timber Top CHALLENGE!
Details
This hike follows the Boranda Trail, one of the most beautiful trails on the Big Sur Coast. It is locally known as the "Separation Trail," and you will understand why once you experience it.
The route involves approximately 2,500 feet of elevation gain over 2.6 miles to the summit.
Because the hike is relatively short (approximately 5 miles round trip), we offer two options: Single and Double.
For the Single option, we suggest carrying extra weight: either 15 lbs or 10% of your body weight, whichever is lighter.
If you are up for the challenge, please join the waitlist.
Preference will be given to those who have completed challenging hikes with me before or those currently training for a backpacking trip.
What to bring:
- Minimum 2L of water for each climb and electrolytes
- Windbreaker and layered clothing
- Gloves and trekking poles
- Snacks and sun protection
Where to meet:
- Carmel Crossroads P&R at 7:00 am for car shuttle (next to Starbuck parking)
