Dads, Assemble! 👔☕ Father’s Day Service — Sunday 21st June, 10am

Let’s be honest: most of what dads get on Father’s Day is a tie nobody asked for, a card with a fishing pun, and the quiet hope that someone else will make the tea. This year, we’d love for you to get something a bit more lasting instead — an hour of good company, honest conversation, and a reminder that you’re not in this whole “fatherhood” thing alone.

Who are we?

We’re the London International Christian Church — part of a global movement that’s been quietly (and sometimes not-so-quietly) trying to do church the way it was done in the first century: small, close-knit, every person actually known and actually involved, not just a name on a pew. No stained-glass intimidation, no Latin, no dress code stricter than “please wear trousers.” Just people trying to follow Jesus together and actually meaning it.

This Father’s Day, we’re doing something for the dads — whether you’ve got toddlers attached to your leg, teenagers who communicate exclusively in sighs, grown kids who now drive better than you, or you’re still figuring out what kind of dad you want to be. Come as you are. Bring the family. Bring the skeptical brother-in-law. Bring nothing but yourself if that’s easier.

We’ll talk honestly about fatherhood — the pressure, the pride, the bits nobody puts on a greetings card — and look at what it means in light of a God who calls Himself “Father” first.
The details:

• 🗓️ Sunday 21st June, 10:00am
• 📍 Porchester Hall, Porchester Centre, Queensway, London W2 5HS
• 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 All families welcome — kids, grandparents, the lot
• 👕 Come comfortable, no dress code
• ☕ Tea and coffee after (the good biscuits, not the broken ones)

No pressure, no pulpit-thumping, no passing the hat round twice. Just a warm room, real people, and a chance to celebrate the dads in our lives properly — even if all they really wanted was a lie-in.

See you Sunday. Bring your family, bring your dad jokes — we can’t promise ours will be better, but we’ll definitely try.
