Bio of Barton Mathis :
Inspired by the promises made by modern technology to individuals, teams and organizations, my professional mission is to turn those promises into reality in meaningful ways. I have worked on, with, and for development, support, architecture and leadership teams for the last 20 years in a mix of enterprise, startup and government environments. I love Tex-Mex, motorcycles, hammocks and campfires, and currently reside just outside Nashville, TN with my 5 daughters (4 teenagers) and wife, Chiyuki. I attended MCRD San Diego 3 weeks after graduating high school and spent the better part of the next 10 years in Okinawa Japan, first as part of the USMC 3rd FSSG and then as a civilian focused on network and hardware repair for military installations. Today, I focus on application modernization, cloud-native applications and DevOps.
