In this session, you'll first get an overview of the need for controlling network ingress and egress for platform services, learn about what NSP delivers, the benefits of NSP over existing approaches, and how to put Network Security Perimeters to good use in your designs. We'll cover some of the current limitations you must be aware of.

Sven Aelterman is a Principal Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft. His work centers around Azure infrastructure, application innovation, and relational database services with a particular emphasis on security and compliance. Previously, he was a cloud software architect, IT director, and lecturer in Information Systems. Sven is co-author of The Art of SQL Server FILESTREAM (Redgate) and previous editions of SQL Server Administration Inside OUT (Microsoft Press). He’s a frequent speaker at southeast regional conferences and user groups.
