Welcome to The Nerd Guild, a Milwaukee-area community for nerdy parents and guardians who want to make friends, have fun, and bring their kids along for the adventure!
Let's face it, making friends as an adult is hard enough. Add parenting to the mix, and suddenly every social outing requires coordinating schedules, finding babysitters, and somehow having enough energy left to actually enjoy yourself.
But who says you have to choose between being a parent and being a nerd?
The Nerd Guild brings together parents who love anime, manga, video games, chess, cosplay, Pokémon, Dungeons & Dragons, fantasy, and all things wonderfully geeky!

Our goal is to create opportunities for parents to connect through shared interests while enjoying fun experiences with their kids.
We'll host monthly arcade gatherings at Up-Down Milwaukee during Family Day, plus occasional special adventures like gaming meetups, cosplay outings, board game afternoons, anime-themed activities, and more!
No babysitter required. Just bring your family, your interests, and your sense of adventure!

We're proudly ADHD- and autism-friendly, welcoming neurodivergent and neurotypical families alike.
Whether you're outgoing, introverted, a casual gamer, or someone who could talk about their favorite anime for hours, you're welcome here.
No one is expected to socialize a certain way. Come as you are!
🛡️ A Few Guild Guidelines
Membership is exclusively for adults aged 18 and older.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all family-friendly gatherings.
Everyone is expected to be kind, inclusive, and respectful.
Membership and our regular gatherings are free! Families cover their own food, games, and purchases.
All prospective members must complete our membership screening questions.
Why I Started This Guild
I wanted to create a community where parents could find their people without leaving their families behind.
A place to bond over our favorite games, share our nerdy obsessions, laugh together, and hopefully build friendships that extend beyond our monthly gatherings.
And if our kids make a few friends along the way? Even better!
Because parenting shouldn't mean putting your own adventures on pause.

Join us for an evening of twinkling lights, holiday treats, local shops, warm drinks, and great company. It's the perfect opportunity to meet fellow nerdy parents, make new friends, and enjoy a little holiday magic with the family!
What to Expect ❄️
- A casual stroll through beautifully decorated Wauwatosa Village.
- Holiday shopping, treats, and festive drinks available for purchase.
- Plenty of opportunities to chat, laugh, and connect with fellow guild members.
- A relaxed, family-welcoming atmosphere with no awkward icebreakers or structured activities.
- Bonus Guild Quest: Wear something representing your favorite fandom! Anime hoodies, gaming shirts, Pokémon accessories, or even a subtle cosplay piece are all welcome!
What's the Damage 🤑
FREE to attend! No purchases are required. Any food, drinks, shopping, or other expenses are each family's responsibility.Guild Guidelines 🛡️
Children are welcome to accompany their parents or guardians, who must remain responsible for their supervision throughout the evening.
We'll be walking outdoors, so dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes!
