Beginning Traditional Oil Painting, 10 WEEK CLASS, with Instructor Ellen Gould

This 10 week course will cover the traditional methods of oil painting. Demonstrations will include the French academy under-painting, working with color, and glazing. Students will learn the fundamentals for creating a painting including composition, color, and techniques. Weekly demonstrations will guide students along Students will work from photo references and may choose from provided subject matter or bring in their own inspirational ideas. Students may expect to finish a minimum of two paintings during the course.

Day and time: Tuesdays from 4:30 – 7:30 pm

Level: Beginner / novice to advanced. Ages – mature teens to adult
Cost: $300 per person
