Join us on Wednesday, 15th October from 7pm to 9pm for this Once Upon a Pub event, and try your hand at some nature writing! ✍️
This session will be hosted by writer, facilitator, and nature lover, Shimrit Janes, who is also co-author of the book, Nature of Work: A new story of work for a living age.
The words of our natural world have slowly been disappearing from our stories, books and language; even from a children’s dictionary.
Enchanting words like ‘acorn’, ‘bluebell’, and ‘magpie’. 🌸🐦🌰
Join us for this writing workshop where we’ll breathe new life and fun into these forgotten words, finding them hidden away in the upstairs room of a London Bridge pub, to hear what stories they have to whisper to us. 🍻
At a time when many of us are craving deeper nature connection, creative language is one way in which we can nurture that relationship – even from within the depths of London! 🌍
Whoever you are, we'd love you to come and join us.
When you arrive, please feel free to buy yourself a drink at the bar, then come and join us in the upstairs function room and say hello to some new, friendly faces before we begin.
No experience of creative writing is necessary.
No pressure to read your work in front of the group.
What to bring:
- Your favourite writing tools! Notebook, pen, laptop, whatever it may be.
- Just yourself!
