Meet with local people who enjoy outdoor adventures and athletic activities, such as hiking, exploring, kayaking, bicycling, snowshoeing, etc.
A large, clear photo of yourself MUST be posted as your profile photo in order to be approved for membership. This helps organizers and attendees of an activity to identify you. Also, please state where you are from in the NE Ohio area so we know you are able to attend our events or you may be declined.
There is no annual membership dues but a contribution does help defray the cost of our annual fee of approximately $400.00. A suggested contribution of $20.00 per calendar year preferably in cash can be paid directly to any Event Organizer who can then get it to our Group Organizer. Please put it in an envelope marked with your name and amount. Your contribution is logged in under Money on our Meetup website so you can be assured it has been handled properly. Thanks.

CONTRA DANCE, Cleveland Heights! Old-time fun!
Communion of Saints Parish, 2175 Coventry Road, Cleveland Heights, OH, USBe adventurous, try something new at an old-time community dance! I "discovered" Contra ~12 years ago and haven't stopped yet. This dance dates back to the 1600's with English and French origins and is the older, simpler parent of American square dance. It is done in long lines of groups of four to very lively old-time or Appalachian music with a live band. A caller walks everybody through the steps before the music starts as well as during the dance. This is historically a social dance and by the end of the evening you may well dance with everybody in the room. Very casual dress is the norm, and you will get warm as this is a very aerobic dance. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, easy to learn and a lesson begins at 7:00. Come single, bring a partner, or as many friends as you like. A fun evening is almost guaranteed.
Dance at 8:00, $10 at the door, come for the lesson at 7:00 if you are new at this.
From the parking lot near Stillman, walk north between two buildings, the dance is in the building on the left, enter via the side entrance, do not go all the way around to the front of the building.

Euclid Creek Reservation Beginners Hike- Euclid, Ohio
850 Euclid Crk, Cleveland, OH, USThis is a 4-3/4 mile beginners hike (walk) on pavement with three hills. Whether you're starting to hike, looking for a new workout, or just going for a stroll. Come on by for some fresh air and good conversation. If needed, you can return to the starting point at anytime. Minimum of two attendees plus myself.
We will meet at 5:45 pm and promptly leave at 6:00 pm. Don't go to 850 Euclid Creek Parkway. Follow the directions provided. If lost, you can call me at 216-240-6967.

Euclid Creek Reservation, 850 Euclid Crk, Cleveland, OH, USEuclid Creek is beautiful and has many trails. This is a intermediate 6-1/4 mile hike. 1-1/4 miles on trails with hills and 5 miles on the all purpose trail. Come on by for some fresh air and good conversation. We will meet at 5:45 pm and promptly leave at 6:00 pm. We will run into mud so bring your good footwear. Hike at your own risk. If lost, you can call me at 216-240-6967.
