Let's turn one of the most screen-saturated places, the metro, offline. 📵 Join this free event to swap screen time for real time.
Imagine this: hundreds of strangers riding the metro, without a phone in sight. Instead, they're reading, knitting, chatting, having fun. On Sunday, February 22, we're challenging Paris to take a break from scrolling and turn Metro Line 6 into a phone-free living room on wheels. Ⓜ️
What to expect:
➡️ The calm way there. 35 minutes of shared silent time - to relax, read, knit, sketch and slow down.
⬅️ The social way back. 35 minutes of time to chat, connect, play games & meet new people (maybe even make music?).
📵 Phones off and tucked away for the entire round-trip.
Please note that the Metro is open to everyone, so commuters might board the same line (probably with their phones 😉*).*
Where & when:
📍 A round trip on Metro Line 6, from Metro Station Charles de Gaulle – Étoile (starting point) to Metro Station Nation (and back).
⏰ Each way takes +- 35 minutes. We will start and end at the same station (Charles de Gaulle – Étoile).
🗓 Sunday, February 22, from 10:30 - (roughly) 12:00. Please arrive before 10:30, as we'll take the 10:38 metro.
Exact meeting point:
Charles de Gaulle–Étoile metro station → Line 6 → direction Nation → on the platform.
We will be standing where passengers wait to board the train.
