NYC’s Professional Lesbians and Allies 20’s, 30’s and 40’s.
NYC’s Professional Lesbians and Allies was created on October 14, 2023, with the intention of bringing intelligent, educated accomplished, and ambitious lesbians and allies together to form an alliance. (and of course participate in events)
There is power in numbers. In an alliance members maintain loyalty including secrecy, raise each other higher (and yes they divulge information on how to get promotions even though they may not work in the same field or company), and provide a strong family-friend bond.
After attending several lesbian themed meetups, I became disappointed by the repetitive meetings in bars, which are not intimate enough to form stronger interpersonal connections. I decided these meetups were a waste of my time so I never went back.
The events in NYC's Professional Lesbians and Allies will be divided into two categories. Physical and cerebral. Let's proceed.
NYC is bountiful in terms of sights, attractions, different neighborhoods, and many “hidden gems,” all waiting to be seen, engaged with, and explored.
Ask yourself this question. Would you rather spend your Saturday evening at "Happy Hour" cramped in a bar like a can of sardines, raising your voice to ask the person next to you, “What do you do for a living?” ...and then you move onto the next one and the next one until its time to go home.
...or would you prefer, "HAPPY DAY OFF?!!!!!!!!"
Wouldn't it be far more refreshing and stimulating to take a trip to the Botanical Gardens and appreciate the diversity of plants in greenhouses? What about feeling the intense adrenaline at Dave & Busters? Let's get competitive at AXE THROWING! We can even conduct real in person speed dating events with many potential candidates.
Our neural networks are constantly rewiring. We will have events where we vote on a theme for discussions. Let's say we select stock market. We can meet at a cafe or rent a room and discuss what we know and obtain more information from each other.
NYC’s Professional Lesbians and Allies takes all members’ ideas and constructive criticism into consideration. If you have an idea for an event, please message me and let’s make it happen. Given the fact that everyone has different perspectives and a different sense of humor, it will be difficult to get “banned from the group.” All conflicts will be resolved by discussion.
