I'm Dragos. I'm glad you found your way here.
I started The Orion Project because I know what it's like to feel like you're constantly performing - proving yourself, living by someone else's standards, saying yes when you mean no. I spent years carrying everything alone, thinking that's what would finally make me worthy.
It doesn't work. And I couldn't figure that out by myself.
This space exists because we need each other. Whether you're crystal clear on why you're here or just curious, you're welcome.

What We're About
You know that feeling? When you're working so hard to prove yourself, to be good enough, to live up to some standard you didn't even set. Saying yes when you want to say no. Performing what you think people want instead of being who you are. And doing it all by yourself because you think that's what earns you worth.
I've been there. Still am sometimes. We figure it out together here.
Or maybe you just want meaningful connection with other men from time to time. No pressure. No obligation. Just the chance to drop the performance and connect as humans.

What We Do
We meet monthly for gatherings where men can be themselves - no masks, no pretending. We use tools like cacao, circle sharing, drumming, guided meditation, and sound healing to explore what it means to be fully ourselves.
We draw on the Hero's Journey and archetypal work (King, Warrior, Magician, Lover) - not as abstract concepts, but as maps for where we are and where we're going.
Small groups (max 10-12). Everything shared stays confidential. We're not gurus with answers - we're fellow travelers on the path, supporting each other to grow.

Safe, confidential containers in Haarlem. No experience necessary - just willingness to show up authentically.
I bring training in Compassionate Inquiry, masculine embodiment, and transpersonal coaching - but more importantly, I bring my own ongoing journey and commitment to walking this path alongside you.

The Lover: The Fire Within | Men's Circle

There is a part of every man that feels deeply. That is moved by beauty, by connection, by something larger than himself. We learn early to keep that part quiet — unnamed, unspoken, tucked away where no one can see it.
The Lover archetype is that part. Not romance as we typically understand it, but something older and wilder — Eros. The fire of desire, passion, and what truly moves us. The capacity to feel fully, to long, to be undone by something that matters.
Most of us have spent a lifetime learning to keep that fire contained. To be useful, to perform, to move through the world armoured and efficient. And somewhere along the way, we lost touch with what actually brings us alive.
This circle is an invitation to come back to that. Not through grand gestures or dramatic transformation, but through the simple, difficult act of allowing ourselves to feel — witnessed, held, together.
Because the work was never about quick fixes or becoming someone new. It's about embodying the wholeness of who we already are — with integrity, with love, with passion. The parts we've been keeping quiet, finally given space to breathe.### The Experience
We'll gather in circle — men willing to be real with each other, to drop the performance and sit with what's true. It is the only way we can actually progress; in honour and collective support.
The circle includes:- Ceremonial cacao to soften defenses and create presence
- Mythological exploration through story and archetype — the Lover through the ages
- Shamanic drumming and guided meditation journey work
- Sacred sharing where you speak and are truly heard
- Ritual and more
This is embodied work. Not abstract concepts, but something you carry forward in your bones and presence long after the circle closes.

#### Cacao
We work with ceremonial-grade (criollo) cacao (+/- 35g per person) - a gentle heart-opener that creates space for authentic presence. It's safe and grounding.
Please let us know about any heart conditions or if you're taking MAOIs or certain antidepressants. Your safety is our main priority.### Confidentiality
What is shared in circle stays in circle. We create safety - physical, emotional, spiritual - so you can be fully present without armour.
