What we’re about
Hey brother,
I'm Dragos. I'm glad you found your way here.
I started The Orion Project because I know what it's like to feel like you're constantly performing - proving yourself, living by someone else's standards, saying yes when you mean no. I spent years carrying everything alone, thinking that's what would finally make me worthy.
It doesn't work. And I couldn't figure that out by myself.
This space exists because we need each other. Whether you're crystal clear on why you're here or just curious, you're welcome.
***
What We're About
You know that feeling? When you're working so hard to prove yourself, to be good enough, to live up to some standard you didn't even set. Saying yes when you want to say no. Performing what you think people want instead of being who you are. And doing it all by yourself because you think that's what earns you worth.
I've been there. Still am sometimes. We figure it out together here.
Or maybe you just want meaningful connection with other men from time to time. No pressure. No obligation. Just the chance to drop the performance and connect as humans.
***
What We Do
We meet monthly for gatherings where men can be themselves - no masks, no pretending. We use tools like cacao, circle sharing, drumming, guided meditation, and sound healing to explore what it means to be fully ourselves.
We draw on the Hero's Journey and archetypal work (King, Warrior, Magician, Lover) - not as abstract concepts, but as maps for where we are and where we're going.
Small groups (max 10-12). Everything shared stays confidential. We're not gurus with answers - we're fellow travelers on the path, supporting each other to grow.
***
Our Framework - ORION
We gather around five core principles:
Openness - Vulnerability without judgment
Responsibility - 100% ownership of our feelings and choices
Integrity - Words match actions, confidentiality is sacred
Ownership - We claim our full story, light and shadow
Nature - We return to our wild, authentic masculine nature
Like the constellation, ORION guides us on the journey - helping us navigate being fully ourselves as men.
***
Who This Is For
Men ready to move beyond surface-level connection. Men tired of carrying everything alone. Men seeking something real in a world of performance and posturing.
Also hosting occasional mixed gatherings for couples and individuals seeking deeper connection and ceremony.
***
The Only Obligation
When you show up, honor yourself and the other men. Be yourself. We're all walking together in this life. We are all walking each other home. - Ram Dass
***
What This Isn't
Therapy. A cult. A replacement for professional help. Guru worship. Quick fixes.

Bringing Back the Light: Winter Solstice Circle (Women & Men)
The longest night of the year. A threshold moment when darkness reaches its peak and light begins its return. For centuries, humans have gathered on this night to honor endings, release what no longer serves, and welcome transformation.
The Orion Project invites women and men - single or partnered - to this 3-hour sacred ceremony exploring the journey through darkness and back to light. Using the ancient Sumerian myth of Inanna's descent into the underworld, we'll create space to acknowledge what we're ready to release, what we've learned in our own dark nights, and what light we're ready to bring back into our lives.
We descend into our personal darkness not to stay there, but to find what's been buried - the vitality, truth, and parts of ourselves we've abandoned. By facing what we've been avoiding, we reclaim our light and let it emerge. Through ceremonial cacao, guided meditation with shamanic drumming, and authentic sharing, we'll honor the solstice as our ancestors did - not rushing past the darkness, but moving through it consciously, together.
The Experience — Sunday / 21st December / 12:45 - 16:00
- Opening and creating sacred container
- Ceremonial cacao sharing with intention-setting
- Mythological exploration: Inanna's descent and return
- Extended guided meditation with shamanic drumming and sound journey
- Integration through circle sharing
- Closing ritual
What We'll Explore Together
The myth of Inanna teaches us about voluntary descent - the choice to face our darkness, shed our defenses, and emerge transformed. We'll explore what darkness you've moved through, what you're ready to release, and what gifts you're bringing back as your own light returns. This is a ceremony for anyone at a threshold - ending or beginning something significant, feeling the weight of transition, or simply needing space to pause and realign with what matters most.
