Greetings culinary adventurers! This Saturday we'll be experiencing the only traditional Armenian restaurant in Vancouver, Lamajoun! Lamajoun is named after a dish called lamajoun, which is an Armenian and Georgian dish similar to Italian pizza. The owner Serge Maranjyan and his wife started a small bakery selling their dishes at local Armenian churches until the decided to start up their own bakery. Many authentic Armenian dishes can be found at Lamajoun, from sujuk for those who love meat to zaatar for those who prefer vegan options. With a diverse menu and a depth of knowledge in Armenian cuisine, Serge and his wife have built a successful restaurant for those who enjoy Armenian dishes as well as those who are interested in exploring something new! Armenia has been recognized as the first country to adopt Christianity and has a long history over the ages with conflict and strife. Here we are able to experience Armenia in peace through delicious cuisine amongst friends! Come join us this Saturday at Lamajoun!
