Elk Falls Hike in Staunton State Park

We will be hiking the Scout Line, Marmot Passage, Chimney Rock, Lions Back, Bugling Elk and Staunton Ranch trails. This is a pretty hike. Its a 8.3 miles RT hike with 1,568' elevation gain (rated as a moderate hike). There is some construction/repairs within the park. Meet at the car pool at 7:30am or Trailhead at 8:00am. We will have lunch afterwards at Los 3 Garcias in Aspen Park/Conifer after the hike.

PARK FEE: Annual pass, paid with your yearly car registration or $10 fee at park entrance.

CARPOOL OPTION: Fort Restaurant for carpool. Please park on the dirt next to the road and in front of their southern parking lot. You are not allowed to park in the parking lot.

WHAT TO BRING: Appropriate gear (food/snacks, first aid kit, jacket, water, sun screen, hat, hiking poles, etc).
