I will be picking up the reserved backcountry permits from the RMNP permit office after securing a campsite Friday Morning (first come first serve campsite). We will be camping Friday night at one of two campgrounds, (Olive Ridge Campground or Meeker Park Overflow). I will message the group Friday morning letting you know which camp spot we are in. Up early Saturday Morning and drive approx. 25 min to RMNP. We will park at the shuttle parking lot across the road from Glacier Basin Campground and ride the shuttle bus to Bear Lake. The backcountry permit does covers time entry permits. Starting the hike from the Bear Lake trailhead to Boulder Brooks Camp (2.5 miles and 1,478' Elevation gain). We will set up camp and then hike to Chasm Lake. Then back to camp, (Approx. 10 miles RT and 1,623' Elevation gain). I'm rating it as a Strenuous hike. Highest elevation will be above tree line at 11,823'. There are restrooms on the way to Chasm Lake. Backpack out Sunday Morning. Campground and permit fees will be $10 per person. Please Venmo or Zelle and answer the questions prior to me moving you over to going. Contact me if you have any questions.
