MATTHEWS WINTERS & DAKOTA RIDGE HIKE
Details
This will be a hard cardio hike, with ~9 miles and approximately 1300 ft elevation gain. We'll start at Matthews Winters parking lot, hiking counterclockwise. We climb to the lookout, then traverse down the chute and cross a few roads over to Dakota Ridge (aka Dinosaur Ridge). From here, 3 miles of steep uphill climbing with lots of rocks in the trail, to the final descent into the Stegosaurus parking lot, then cross over back to Mathews Winters lot to complete. Wear good shoes for this one!
