The 'Over 40' Circle

We are a very active, busy group that likes to explore different activities, restaurants, and venues in Southern California.
We are always up for anything ( some of us , LOL) and always welcome suggestions for new places to explore , new restaurants to try , and anything else that our members might enjoy. It all about making friends and sharing new experiences together.
This group was started for people that were over 40 and lived in the Inland Empire, but we have expanded our membership all the way to the Palm Springs area, San DIego area, L A County. .
I joined this group in 2015. I have really enjoyed meeting a very fun, friendly, diverse group of people. I have loved being introduced to new things that I would never have thought to do on my own.
I was asked to take over as Organizer in January 2018 . I try and post a variety of interesting events, but please always feel free to offer suggestions..
If you wish to host an event , you pick, time, place, and date...I like to offer our members as much variety as possible , so ideas are welcomed.
I schedule way ahead, so you can pick whatever month you want
If you wish to host a bunco night, please be advised that I do request everybody goes by the group rules so we have consistency and I will handle the $$ envelopes.
.We do many things in this group including, happy hours, concerts, movies, potlucks, game nights, book clubs  and anything else that comes up !!
Meetup increased their fee a couple of years ago and now charge $200 around the first of the year and $200 around the middle of the year..
.I have seen some groups that charge a per event fee which is fine, but I prefer to charge $10 dues twice a year...This means $10 due on Jan. 1st and $10 due on July 1st.
This may be paid by venmo, zelle, cash or check...If I don't receive this by these dates , I will take it to mean you wish to leave the group..
There will be no reminders , so please put this in your calendar.
I do prefer active members so on the first of each month, I will delete members that have not checked in for 3 months , even if their dues are paid
(Veterans and current military are exempt from dues as long as they attend one event every 6 months.)
( spouses are also exempt from dues, but please make them their own profiles )
You may bring a non member as a guest one time (if the event allows guests ) , then they have to join to attend additional events

WAIVER AGREEMENT: By joining this group and attending any event you agree to hold The 'Over 40' Circle , the Organizer, Asst Organizers, event organizers, co-organizers and any hosts harmless for any issues whatsoever arising from club activities and events.
