In honor of the Chávez-Huerta Day of Service, The Parents' Climate Community is gathering on campus with UT's Students Fighting Climate Change (SFCC) to chat about their efforts, make signs, and take a group photo. Join us!

When: Friday, March 29th, 11-11:45 am (group photo at 11:30)

Where: Meet in front of the UT Tower (110 Inner Campus Dr.) Click here for visitor parking and public transit info.

Why: The climate movement needs to be an intergenerational effort, with all of us weaving together our strengths and older adults actively supporting youth activists.

How: Just bring yourself or join with your child(ren). We’ll provide sign-making supplies; simple snacks; and bubbles and coloring sheets to entertain younger kids. This is a small gathering rather than a big protest, and the vibe will be social and conversational.

How to make an excursion out of it: While you’re on campus, pack a picnic lunch and head to the Turtle Pond, a perennial favorite with young kids. The Texas Science Museum and Blanton Museum of Art are also nearby.
