Dance Photography - Outside Workshop

Details
A Dance Photography workshop held in outside environment where there will be tuition, fun and the opportunity to capture some great images.
About this Event
This workshop led by The Photography Squad team will provide you with a structured approach to dance photography, giving you hands-on experience capturing and directing dancers in movement.
This is an outside event and will be in Central London. We will be covering the use of reflectors as well as strobe lighting to create different effects. You’ll come away learning relevant skills you can put into action yourself as well as being able to capture some incredible images on the day.
Overview of the workshop will include:
Use of reflectors and strobe lighting : We'll create our own environment to capture fast dance movement as well as create a specific lighting set-up for your scene. We’ll provide an introduction to each lighting set-up that you’ll then be able to use for future shoots.
Capturing dance work : This is where collaboration comes in between photographer and dancer. Each dancer has their own style and working with them, you’ll be able to create unique, dynamic images. Prior to the shoot, we’ll ask you to build a mood board of ideas that inspire you as this will assist you to create as well as communicate your ideas to the dancer.
Petra Gent will lead this event and The Photography Squad team members are on hand to provide individual and group support, as well as offering constructive feedback where required.
Ćhloe Orr **@chloexorr ** from The Royal Academy of Dance will be our dance model for the workshop - The Photography Squad team have worked with Ćhloe before and know that you’ll be equally impressed both in terms of the quality of her dancing skills and modelling ability, as well as being a pleasure to collaborate with.
