Introduction to Studio Lighting

We run an Introduction to lighting workshop on Sunday once a month. This is aimed at demystifying studio lighting and using equipment in a photography studio. Feel free to register for one of these classes before you book the studio or if you just want to learn about the studio basics.

This workshop includes:

1. Welcome and introduction to LDN and MAAN Studios.
2. Using mirrorless and DSLR cameras in the studio.
3. Lenses for use in Studio.
4. Basics of lighting and theory. Hard and soft lighting.
5. Types of lighting equipment. Flash lights, studio strobes, LEDs, triggers etc.
6. Studio equipment, c stand, background types, reflectors.
7. Lighting setup with one light.

Please bring a mirrorless / DSLR camera with a standard flash hotshoe.

We suggest medium (35, 50mm or 85mm) fixed or zoom (24mm - 70mm) lens.
