What we’re about

Welcome to The Photoshoot Therapy - Networking for Photographers & Models

We’re excited to have you join our creative community of photographers and models! Whether you're here to expand your portfolio, learn new skills, or collaborate with like-minded individuals, here’s a quick guide to help you get started:

1. Be Open to Collaboration

Our group thrives on collaboration. Whether you're a photographer or model, come with an open mind and a willingness to learn from others.

Respect others’ ideas, styles, and approaches to photography, and feel free to offer your unique insights too.

2. Bring Your Own Gear

Photographers are encouraged to bring their own cameras, lenses, and any equipment they usually work with (tripods, lighting, etc.).

Models should bring appropriate outfits, makeup, and any specific props or accessories they'd like to use for shoots.

3. Respect Everyone’s Time and Space

Our meetups are designed to be productive, so please be punctual and prepared.

If you need assistance or have special requests for a shoot, communicate clearly with your group members beforehand.

4. Portfolio Building and Etiquette

These meetups are an excellent opportunity to build your portfolio. Be sure to discuss any terms related to the use of images with photographers and models before the shoot.

Photographers should share final images with models within a reasonable timeframe. Both parties should have a clear agreement on how the images will be used (social media, personal portfolio, etc.).

5. Respect and Professionalism

All members must maintain professionalism and respect at all times. The group fosters a positive, supportive environment where everyone feels welcome and comfortable.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behavior, including any form of harassment or unprofessional conduct.

6. Social Media and Promotions

Feel free to tag the group and other members when posting photos from meetups on social media. Use hashtags like #PhotoshootTherapyLondon to help build a community presence.

Avoid unsolicited promotions or excessive self-promotion during the meetups. Keep it focused on networking and collaboration.

7. Health and Safety Guidelines

Follow any health guidelines in place, including proper social distancing and the use of masks when necessary.

Make sure to look out for your safety and the safety of others, especially when shooting outdoors or in public places.

8. Ask for Help and Feedback

Don’t hesitate to ask for feedback on your work or advice about equipment, techniques, or photography styles. This group is all about learning and growing together.

Reach out to organizers or fellow members if you need help with anything or if you have any concerns.
