The Plot Twist & Pour Society is a fun, friendly, and slightly wine-fueled book club for people who love good stories, good conversations, and good company.
We’re here for the joy of reading — and the joy of getting together. Think of this as a social book club: a reason to regularly gather with like-minded people, talk about books, swap theories, debate characters’ terrible decisions, and inevitably wander into conversations about life, the universe, and everything in between.
While our collective tastes lean toward mystery, science fiction, and fantasy, this is not a genre-locked club. We want to stay curious and flexible, and book selections will be chosen democratically by the group. If it’s a great read and sparks conversation, it belongs here.
Each meetup will be:
- Hosted in a private home (starting with mine!), with the option to rotate hosts over time
- Potluck-style, with members encouraged (but never required) to bring a snack, dish, or bottle to share
- Relaxed, cozy, and social — this is not a homework assignment or a literature exam
The vibe is:
- Open, welcoming, and low-pressure
- Thoughtful but not pretentious
- Energetic, social, and very human
- A little book club, a little dinner party, a little wine night
You don’t have to be an academic. You don’t have to read “the right things.” You just have to enjoy stories, conversation, and spending a few hours in good company.
