Hump Day Sunset Hike to Angel Vista, route 2 from Felton

This hike will take us again to Angel Vista, but coming from the west on the Los Robles trail. Be sure to bring a flashlight, as it may well be dark before we get back to the cars!

The Los Robles trail system is unique in that it is the only 'national historic trail' in the State of California, as designated by the National Park Service. The trail parallels the route taken by Juan Bautiste de Anza in 1776 through the Rabbit...I mean the Conejo Valley as he led his band of almost 200 settlers from Mexico to San Francisco. Distance: 3.5 miles

Elevation Gain: 900'(??)

Difficulty: Strong beginners to intermediate, some steep parts coming up the Robles.
Dogs: Yes
, but leashed
Restrooms: No

Water Fountain: No

Parking: Free

Trail: Single track

Sunset: 7:50 pm

Directions: Easiest is to exit the 101 at Lynn Road and go south (away from the Oaks Mall). Follow it until you come to a stoplight at Felton and turn left, go the end and park.

Known Dangers: There are a few loose-rock-slippery sections on the Los Robles, so please be very careful when going down hill. Rattlers are always possible.
