Sierra Club Hike: Jackson Lake to Grassy Hollow

Dodger Joe, on our leadership team, is heavily involved in the Sierra Club, and we are cross-posting this Sierra Club event as a courtesy. Note that it starts in the (dreaded) morning hours, which explains why it's not an actual PM Hikers event. Nonetheless, many of you also do hike in the mornings, so here is the info we can share with you, if interested.

Joe is coordinating carpools for this in Sherman Oaks at 7:00, Santa Clarita at 8:00. The hike itself will start close to 9:15 or so.

O: Moderate 8 mile, 1200' gain/loss from Jackson Lake to PCT and on to Grassy Hollow Visitor's Center. Beautiful forested area on northern slopes of San Gabriel Mts. Fall colors on display. Meet 8 AM at Canyon Country Rideshare. SW corner of Sand Canyon/ Soledad Cyn. in Vons Shopping Center close to Soledad, W of the Soledad entrance. 1.25 hr. drive to trailhead. Bring water, lunch, lug soles. Rain cancels.
