3-BRIDGES HIKE and "Sips & Giggles"

Details
WHAT:
Saturday, November 8 will be the last "Sips & Giggles" event at Malibu & Vine as they are remodeling the golf course and M&V is not expected to reopen there.
This is an EASY and FUN hike that will introduce you to a great hiking area - DON'T MISS IT!
WHERE & WHEN:
Let's meet at the large parking area that services the north and south sections of the Backbone Trail, located 4/10ths of a mile west of Country Club Drive on Encinal Canyon Rd. at 4:30PM. A Pedestrian sign and a Fire Truck sign mark the location, and the lot is on the North side of the road.
HOW:
From there we'll do my 3-Bridges Loop (2.4 miles, 1hr:30mins at an easy pace) to the south. We'll head down this section of the Backbone Trail, but only for a few hundred feet before heading east on a single track. Within a few minutes we'll reach a very short but "lightly" challenging downslope that wasn't nearly as hard as I made it out to be last time. We'll soon arrive at a large area of old eucalyptus and pine trees that were cut down a few years ago, and Bridge #1.
Pretty quickly we'll be at a "moderately" challenging uphill section that will make you appreciate your good hiking shoes for a minute or two. From there it will be just a few more minutes (25-35 minutes total hiking time) to the high point of the hike where we can take a break and enjoy this view:

15-20 minutes down from the peak we will make it into the oak grove at the low point of the hike at Bridge #2. We'll see this beautiful area that provided some great spooky photo ops the last time, but this time we'll be there in the daylight. From there, we will only be about 20 minutes from the start, via Bridge #3. Bridge #2 is shown here:

If time and energy permits, we can then make quick work of the Encinal to Mulholland Loop, a very easy 1.85 miles, 45 mins (max) round-trip, starting and ending right at the north side of the parking area.
WHY:
After the hike, we can make our way to Malibu & Vine, sometime before 7PM, and enjoy the Comedy Show. The venue is outdoors with a $5 cover charge, so plan to bring some warm dry clothes in case we can't snuggle under a patio heater.
WHO:
I will try to reserve table(s) based on the RSVP count, so please keep your RSVP updated to reflect your intention of making it for the comedy show - thanks!
