Hidden Meadows Trail to Oakbrook Edison Road - Westlake

The wildflowers are blooming, and they are abundant on this trail (at least they were last year).

This is moderate 4 mile hike, with an elevation gain of about 500' with a continuous uphill trek to the powerline. This is suitable for fit beginners.
At the start we will climb an elevation of about 500', then level out as we get closer to the powerline which we will take a break and admire the views

Let's meet at 6:30pm at the Hidden Meadows trailhead at the end of Falling Star Ave.
Sunset: 7:43 (last light: 8:10)

• Bring your flashlight or headlamp, minimum of 2 liters of water, snacks, electrolytes, poles
• Wear good hiking/walking shoes
• Trail: single track, fire road
• Dogs: On a leash per state law
• Restrooms: Nature
• Water Fountain: None (bring a minimum of 2 liters of water)
• Parking: Free at the trailhead
• Known Dangers: Rattlesnakes, slip-'n-fall

Please don't sign up for this hike if you have other plans after. The end time is approximate only.
My hikes are casual and slower paced (1.5-2 mph), we take breaks, and we explore.
