Los Robles Trail via the Los Padres Trail, Thousand Oaks

Details
This is a relatively easy to moderate 4+ mile loop hike with a 550’ elevation gain. Meet me at 6:30pm at the trailhead, we will wait five minutes then start. Sunset is at 7:58. Bring your flashlights as it will be dark on our way down.
**NOTE** Please don't sign up for this hike if you are in a rush or have other plans after. My hikes are casual and slower paced (1.5-2 mph), we take breaks, and we explore. I can't guarantee that we will be back at exactly the end time. Thank you.
The Hike
We start with a short walk through a forest of oak trees that canopy the trail with wooden bridges and a babbling creek (maybe). The forest fades into a canyon of lush vegetation and a single trail that ascends to the Los Robles Trail junction, this is the toughest part of the hike with a steady incline of about 250 feet.
At the junction the trail opens into a fire road, we'll take a right and continue to climb with an elevation of another 150 feet or so that will level out near the top. At the junction, we will turn right and then another right onto a scenic route that leads to the benches at the top. We will take a short break and enjoy breathtaking views of Conejo valley.
As the sun is setting, we will descend down into the canyon and into a lush trail through a second forest of oak trees that ends at Greenmeadow Ave. From here, we will walk on the sidewalk to the trailhead where we started.
