Chumash Trail for Slow Pokes
Details
Let's do this again! For this week, we'll keep it at 3 miles because Lisa is and has been off a while and I'm just back from fighting a cold.
This is a slow-poke (fit beginner/intermediate) hike at about 3.0 miles with an elevation gain of 670'. The gain is a continuous steady climb, and the descent is continuous going down, but we will take breaks when needed.
The Hike
The hikes is slow paced (1.5-2 mph) and the end time is approximate only. We take breaks, we explore, and we don't leave anyone behind. If this hike isn't for you, please find another that suits your needs.
My goal for this hike is to eventually make it to the top, but not tonight. We are working to build up strength and stamina. We will go to the 1.5 mile marker before turning around. The full hike (to the top and back) is 5.4 miles with an elevation of 1200'.
