Rainy Day Urban Walk at Cal Lutheran, Thousand Oaks
Details
It's another one of those in-between rainy days. Tonight, we will walk through the Cal Lutheran campus and visit Kingsman Park (noted for its summertime Shakespearian plays), Samualson Chapel, the abstract sculpture of Martin Luther, the football field where the Dallas Cowboys and L.A. Rams have practiced, and other interesting areas.
This is a 4 mile walk with an elevation gain of 230', suitable for beginners.
Meet me at the end of the cul-de-sac on Bainbridge Ct. at 5:00pm, we will start no later than 5:05pm.
Bring water and a flashlight, it will be chilly so dress warm. Wear good walking shoes. Bring an umbrella just in case. No dogs. I don't know if bathrooms will be available.
My hikes are slow paced (1.5-2 mph) and the end time is approximate only. We take breaks, we explore, and we don't leave anyone behind. If this hike isn't for you, please find another that suits your needs.
Known dangers: slip-and-fall.
