The Almost Last Minute - But Still Last Chance Hike

It's back...for another week away!

Today will be your last chance "ever" to hike on September 25, 2026!!! Just think about that, once it is lost, it is gone forever. If your calendar is empty and you haven't hiked as much as you would have liked to yet this month or year, here is your chance!!!
The hike is a not too difficult 4.5 mile loop with quite a bit of shade.
Along the way there is this giant picnic table that you see in the above photo (sans clowns), which is a great spot for photos and a quick break before the climb to a beautiful overlook. From there we will decend and after about a mile find ourselves in a beautiful oak forest, then back to our cars for the "next thing",whatever that happens to be.

**This route is subject to change by the whim of the leader, which is ME...I will try to get us to a good vantage point to view sunset, just as we did last week!**

If you will be driving North on the 101, get off on Moorpark Rd and turn left. Turn right on Greenmeadow Dr and drive to the Greenmeadow Parking lot.

If you will be driving South on the 101, exit at Moorpark Rd (DO NOT exit at Lynn Road) and turn right. Turn right on Greenmeadow Dr and drive to the Greenmeadow Parking lot.
Bring a snack (optional) for the break at the Overlook.
Sunset: 6:47 p.m. so bring a flashlight and a sense of adventure.
