The Poet House, rooted in Austin, TX, nurtures a vibrant national community of spoken word artists. We center poets of color, queer poets, poets with disabilities, and youth. Our three core programs include every.Word Poetry, Courageous Cadence, and CareWorks. Through performances, open mics, workshops, and accessible resources, we empower poets to speak their truths, share their stories, and connect with audiences across the country.
