“Have you ever wondered if your poem would make a great song? Turning Your Poetry into Song is a three day course that will give you the tools and rules you will need to start writing lyrics from the poems you’ve already written, or from the poetic ideas in your head you would love to hear sung!

With the goal of setting yourself and a melodist up for success, we will explore: the "speak-ability" and "sing-ability" of your words and phrases; what is meant by “the words and music behind the words and music” and how that can dictate a composer’s melody; tension and resolution; where and when to place a rhyme; and So Much More!! Bring your material and the poetry in your head!”

Lorraine is also a fiercely passionate artist coach and vocal producer, giving voice, songwriting and performance lessons and workshops in NYC and NJ for most of her career. She taught songwriting and performance workshops for the SONGWRITERS’ HALL OF FAME in NYC for many years. Some of her better known students include LANA DEL REY (songwriting), ANN CURLESS of pop group EXPOSE´ (vocal production), And PATRIZIO BUANE, international pop star. Currently, Lorraine is excited about her newest coaching venture with LIFE CENTER STAGE, a NJ organization dedicated to creative leadership and wellness through the arts.
