Hike Description: The iconic trail to be on as wildflowers. This gem of a hike on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge offers spectacular views of the Columbia River, spring wildflowers, and Oregon White Oak woodlands. The wild flowers are out, but Balsamroot may be 1-2 weeks from peak.

CARPOOLING: We will meet at Gateway Transit Center parking garage at 7:30 am for carpooling. People can also chose to drive by themselves and meet at Lyle Cherry Orchard trailhead at 9:00 am. If carpooling, please pay $15 each to the driver (~ 150 miles return trip) to share for car/gas/toll cost.

What to bring:

• Hiking boots/shoes
• Trekking poles recommended
• 2-3 Clothing layers, rain cover
• Lunch, snacks, water

• Always a good practice to be equipped with The 10 essentials during hikes.

My hiking style is to stop frequently by creeks, wild-flower meadows, geological marvels and conversation, and not to rush through it. We stay together as a group but spread out for physical distancing. I reserve the right to remove anyone from the hike anytime based on their fitness level, attendance record, incomplete profile, or if you not a good fit with my leadership style on my previous hike.

If you are on the going list, and decide to cancel, please change your RSVP to "No" asap. Canceling after 6 pm on the day before the hike will result in a no-show on your record.
