I pick Forest Park over Netflix - Evening hike

Starting Trailhead: NW 53rd Drive

Weekday local Forest park hike is empowering, when you decide to not succumb to the desire for comfort of being in front of a screen. We will meet at Forest Park's NW 53rd Drive Trailhead and depart at 5:45 pm. PLEASE reach 5-10 min earlier to allow for time to park and participate in the introductions.

There is an option for a shorter 2.5 mile loop via Alder trail for those who don't want to do the full 6.5 mile loop.

*Sorry, no dogs on this hike.

Hike Description: From the trail-head, we will take right on Keil trail, then left on Dogwood trail, and head down all the way to to Leif Ericson. We take left on Lief Erikson, and go about 2.5 miles, then take the scenic Nature trail to Wildwood, and final 2 miles on Wildwood and back to car for a 6.5 mile loop.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Water bottle (recommended in summer)
• Rain Jacket depending on weather

** CAR BREAK-IN ALERT**
Car break-ins has been an ongoing problem at all trail-heads lately. DO NOT leave anything valuable, or that may look like could be of value from outside, in your car parked at the trail-head. No blankets or jackets on the seat, that may give the impression of something hidden underneath.
