The surf forecast looks good in Otter Rock this Sunday, and the weather looks warm and sunny, so let's go surfing!
The forecast looks perfect for beginners who want to try surfing for the first time or just hang out by the ocean with good company. Otter Rock is one of Oregon’s most beginner-friendly surf spots, known for its mellow waves, scenic cliffs, and relaxed, welcoming vibe. Whether you’re trying surfing for the first time or just want to hang out at the coast, this is the perfect chance to connect, play, and unwind together.
I’m a very new beginner myself — just starting to learn surfing. If you’re also learning, want to keep practicing your skills, or just want a chill beach day watching the waves (and us tumble around in them), come join me!
Surf Condition:
- Sunday’s forecast calls for gentle, beginner-friendly waves
- We’ll surf in the whitewater zone, close to shore — great for newer surfers!
- Wetsuit, board, and booties rentals available on site
- $45 for half day, $60 for full day
- Water will be cold — full wetsuits are a must (included in rental)
Note: Depending on interest, we’ll either book a lesson (if available) or surf independently. Prior surf experience is needed if no lesson is offered that day.
