Backpacking Trip to the Strawberry Mountains of Oregon!

Let's go on a backpacking trip to the Strawberry Mountains of Oregon! We will be camping the first night and then backpacking for two nights. We will be summitting Strawberry Mountain, 9,042 feet. We will see lakes, streams and springs, plus plenty of wildlife including mountain goats.

We will meet at Strawberry Campground on Thursday, arrive when you can. We then backpack for 3 days, each day is approximately 6-8 miles. On Friday we will hit the trail, going by Big Strawberry Lake, then taking a side trip to Little Strawberry Lake. We will continue up the mountain and overnight at a spring. The next day we head up to a junction, where we drop our full packs and summit the mountain, 9,042 feet in elevation. We come back down and continue around the mountain and overnight at High Lake or we may make it down to Slide Lake. On Sunday, we make our way out of Slide Lake, across some scree fields and back to our cars. We can eat in Prarie City for anyone interested.
