PACE: ~2.5 mph with stops

ESTIMATED HIKING TIME: ~2.25 hours
STARTING POINT: Firelane 1 Trailhead end of NW Forest Lane
Take NW Thompson, to NW 53rd, to NW Forest Ln - end of that is ample parking.

Watch the potholes on Forest Lane. Keep in mind if it is a warm day, that is it 5 to 10 degrees cooler in Forest Park than the city.

Hike Description:
A moderate hiking experience through Forest park. Some steep parts to
give you a good workout. Will stop at least once halfway for bio break. We will try to keep a fairly quick pace in order to finish in a little over two hours, but won't leave anyone behind.

This hike is a little shorter than the Wednesday evening "Netflix" hike, but a little more strenuous because of the elevation. I did this hike every Thursday 3 years ago and am starting it up again. The trails are 95% in the forest and only goes on Leif Erikson for one very short length.

Time: Be at the trailhead at 5:40 PM for a 5:45 PM start. If you are stuck in traffic or can't make it, please message/comment so we know whether we need to wait or fine to start without you.

WHAT TO BRING:

• Sturdy hiking boots/shoes
• water
• Trekking poles if desired
• a fun attitude :)

We will stay together as a group but spread out for distancing.
